1 lb 80/20 ground beef

salt

pepper

Directions

Form the meat into roughly half pound burgers, pressing them down under roughly a finger thick.

Sprinkle salt and pepper on the top side of each burger.

Put a nonstick pan on the stove on medium heat.

Once the pan is hot (smoking a little bit is good), start cooking a burger.

After 4.5 minutes, flip the burger in the pan and add salt and pepper to the other side.

After another 4.5 minutes, check to make sure the burger has reached 145 degrees. Cook longer and flip additional times if needed to reach that temperature.
