1 lb. lean ground beef
1 lb. hot Italian sausage
2 cups bread crumbs
2 tablespoons dried parsley
2 tablespoons fresh grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon olive oil
If the sausage is in links, cut open the casings and remove the meat.
Combine all ingredients.
Form into golf ball sized balls.
Place on greased or nonstick cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for 18 minutes.
When the meatballs are done, put half of them in to a pot with sauce (fra diavolo works well) and coat the meatballs. Add to the pasta only when serving.
