4 teaspoons dried minced onion
3 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons jarred minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
2.5 pounds ground beef
2/3 cup water
Mix all spices in a bowl.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Crumble ground beef into the hot skillet and cook until the beef is completely browned, stirring as needed, should take 7 to 10 minutes.
Drain and discard any excess grease.
Return ground beef to heat and pour seasoning mixture and water over the beef. Stir to combine.
Bring to a simmer and cook until the moisture absorbs into the meat, this will be about 5 minutes.
To prepare a tortilla:
- Add 1/4 tsp. oil to a hot pan.
- Put tortilla in, cook for 20 seconds.
- Flip, cook for 20 seconds.
